Submission of Contributions

Abstracts Deadline for Communications and / or Posters

February 22th 2014:  Extended deadline for Abstract submission (oral communications and posters).

February 15th 2014: Abstract submission (oral communications and posters).

April 1st, 2014:  Notification of acceptance/rejection (oral communications and posters)

May 1st, 2014:  Last date for registration for presenting authors.  (Any presenting author whose payment has not been received would be drop from the conference program)


Submission of Contributions

The First International Congress on Actuarial Science and Quantitative Finance (ICASQF 2014) calls for participation of researchers, educators, graduate students and other professionals.  The contributions submitted to ICASQF 2014 can be academic research in actuarial science and quantitative finance (for students, faculty and practitioners).  Also, practitioners can submit case studies or case analyses.  An author may be presenter of only one (1)  presentation.

The abstracts of oral communications and posters must be submitted in English. However, you may choose to deliver your oral presentation in Spanish.

Authors should submit abstracts and extended abstracts (or full papers).  Abstracts of accepted oral presentations and posters would be published in the ICASQF 2014 Congress Programme book.   Refereeing process for oral presentations and posters would be based on extended abstracts (or full papers) provided by authors.

Authors of selected oral presentations would be invited to submit to the special issue entitle “Advances in Actuarial Sciences and Quantitative Finance” of Springer Proceedings in Mathematics & Statistics (PROMS); those invited papers would follow a standard refereeing process.

It should be take into account the following guidelines, to fill up the submission form:

Title:  It should have 256 characters maximum.

Abstract: it should have 3000 characters maximum. Abstracts should be written in English using LaTeX (2e); please do not use any other version of TeX. Any bibliographic reference should be included.  It is the author's responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact in the abstract text will be reproduced in the book of abstracts as typed by the author.  In case an author believes that he or she must cite a reference source in an abstract, the entire reference must be written parenthetically. For readability we recommend to avoid formulae.

Authors:  Include any authors.  The primary contact is the presenting author and he/she is responsible for sharing all the information regarding abstract submission, including notification with possible co-authors.

Subject Areas: Select the primary subject area.  The organizers would try to organize the congress within sessions of the same primary subject area.  Any practitioner that wants to present a paper or poster and wants to be consider for practitioner sessions should choose the corresponding primary subject area.

File Upload:  Upload an extended abstract for your presentation or a full paper.  The length of an extended abstract should not exceed two A4 pages (word count of approximately 1000-1200 words).  The refereeing process for the selection of oral presentations and posters would be based on these extended abstracts.
